The Revenue Leak
Staark was a subsidary company of a larger company, B2B HVAC Distribution company. They came to me without a website and we identify that they have huge SKU products and categories. Their intention of the site is to build it for External Technical Consultants to find the products and services they offer. So, the leakage was that No digital presence causing a low trust signals that lead to higher Cost of Acquisition, Given they have HIGH SKUs need to be managed, it was inefficient to run a regular static site. It require a CMS to cut down 10 hours per week of manual content management to display the products specifically for the Technical Consultants.
The compounding cost:
- No digital presence: Google's Core Web Vitals update downranked slow sites—losing organic visibility
- Higher Cost of Acquisition: More products = more images. More images = more time to load. Every 1-second delay = 7% reduction in conversions (industry standard)
- Operational drag: Manual content management = 40 hours/month
- Scaling impossible: Static site couldn't handle content-heavy website without performance degradation
Estimated Cost of the Leak:
Higher Cost of Acquisition = 100% of visitors leaving before seeing content
Operational drag = $2,000-$3,000 in wasted operational costs (at $50-75/hr)
Static site couldn't handle content-heavy website = unmeasurable but massive opportunity cost in organic traffic
